JIMMY KIMMEL TO RETURN AS HOST FOR “2008 AMERICAN MUSIC AWARDS” LIVE SPECIAL AIRING NOVEMBER 23 ON ABC P!nk and Jonas Brothers Highlight Lineup of Performers Tickets and Packages Now On Sale Late-night talk show host/comedian Jimmy Kimmel will return to host the “2008 American Music Awards” – marking Kimmel’s fifth time as the event host. The live broadcast will take place at the NOKIA Theatre L.A. LIVE on SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 23 (8:00-11:00 p.m., ET) on ABC. “The AMAs reflect pop culture through music, while at the same time celebrating the fans and audiences,” said Orly Adelson, president of dick clark productions. “We are delighted that Jimmy Kimmel will be joining us once again to MC the AMAs. Jimmy is a masterful host with incredible spontaneity and wit; audiences can expect a great night.” “I agree with Orly completely,” said Jimmy Kimmel. Performers on the live special will include P!nk, plus the Jonas Brothers, among many more to be announced in the weeks to come. Nominations for the “2008 American Music Awards” will be announced on October 14. For the second time in American Music Awards history, winners will be determined by online voting at ama.abc.com (votes will be collected from October 14 to November 7). Tickets for the “2008 American Music Awards” are now on sale.
